Daily Offices

The Daily Offices have been used since the earliest days of the Church. The form used by the Archdiocese of the Southwest is of the Anglican tradition and consists of five offices, as listed below.

- The Daily Offices will be available for purchase at the Metropolitan Bookstore.

- The abbreviated version of the offices is included in the priest's Rituale Anglicanum, available at the Metropolitan Bookstore.

- For the congregation, you may also download a pdf booklet that contains everything but the readings, psalms, and collects.

Morning Prayer: Used any time after sunrise for Matins, Lauds, Prime, and Terce, except when one of those offices is specifically appointed.

Noonday Prayer: for the Sixth Canonical Hour

Afternoon Prayer: for the Ninth Canonical Hour

Evening Prayer (Evensong): for Vespers

Compline: the conclusion of the Daily Office
